Exercise Physiology is the study of the body's physical responses and adaptations to exercise. The systems of the body are studied to increase understanding of the ways in which the body responds to physical activity. Emphasis is placed on the benefits of exercise and the practical application of the information in school, community and private settings. The goal of the course is for students to understand how the body and its systems respond to exercise and how to develop a successful fitness program.
